A lutheran Church serving Spicewood, Briarcliff, Bee Cave & Lakeway
Welcome to Spirit in the Hills
We are people diversely centered in Christ, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and sent to share God's love in the world.
Come as you are. We really mean it.
Regular gatherings
Whether you've been Lutheran all your life, come from another faith tradition, or are still figuring out what you believe, you have a place here.

Sunday Worship
Sundays 10-11 AM
At the church
We gather every Sunday morning for heartfelt worship, communion at God's open table, and time together afterward. Can't make it out to Spicewood? We stream the whole service live, and you are just as welcome from your couch as from the sanctuary.
Find us at 2106 Bee Creek Rd, Spicewood, TX 78669.

Adult Sunday School
Sundays 9 AM
In the sanctuary
Before worship begins, we meet for adult faith formation in the sanctuary. All are welcome to nourish and grow their faith.

How we live it out
Connect
We CONNECT to God and one another through worship, breaking bread together, having fun, and meeting our neighbors.
Equip
We EQUIP each other by identifying our strengths, learning about scripture and living faith in daily life, asking questions and growing.
Serve
We SERVE God and neighbor through a variety of ministry programs and community partners, and by loving people exactly as they are.
Give
We GIVE generously of ourselves, our time, our possessions because we know that everything we have is a gift from God.
Is this church for you?
You might feel at home here if you:
- Have questions or doubts about faith and want a church that welcomes that, making room for both belief and uncertainty.
- Grew up in church, left, and are cautiously wondering about coming back.
- Are LGBTQ+, love someone who is, or just want a church where everyone can be fully themselves without wondering whether they belong.
- Have never been to church and don't know what to wear. (Shorts are fine.)
- Believe faith is something we keep exploring, questioning, and growing into together.
- Bring kids who are, let's say, enthusiastic. We mean it when we say they're welcome, too.
